Before a booked appointment

Information prior to visiting us

You have an appointment at Mälaren Hästklinik. We appreciate your confidence in us and we strive to give you the best service possible and your horse the best possible care. To make sure everything runs smoothly we ask you to consider the following information:

Please arrive a little while before your booked time to have time to register and off load your horse. When you arrive at the clinic you type in the booking code you received in a text message in the iPad in reception. You will then be asked to fill out a digital form to announce your arrival. If you do not have your booking code you can ask for help in the reception. If you have visited us before the process is quick since all your information will be saved from the previous visit.

Information to consider

If you choose direct settlement with your insurance company, please bring your insurance number. We can’t do the direct settlement after your visit.

  • All invoices are sent through email after the visit, including the ones that has been settled directly with the insurance company.
  • Remove blankets and leg wraps before the visit.
  • Bring the horse’s passport
  • All prepurchase examinations needs to be paid for at the visit (we do not send out invoices for PPE.
  • To facilitate the examination and treatment and to reduce the risk of infections it is important that the horse is as clean as possible when arriving to the clinic. The horse should be clean, groomed and the hoofs picked out.
  • To minimize the risk for spread of infection it is important that all horses coming in for planned non-acute visits are generally healthy. Always check the horse’s temperature before loading to go to the clinic. If the horse has a fever, snotty nose or has diarrhea – contact us for possible rescheduling of the visit.
  • You can purchase food and snacks at the clinic, contact the reception for help if needed.
  • Sometimes help to load the horse is needed. We recommend that you bring enough competent people to assist with loading. If you still need help the staff at the clinic can assist with sedation of the horse.

How does Mälaren Hästklinik process your personal data?

Mälaren hästklinik safeguards your privacy and complies with current regulations of handling of personal data such as GDPR.

We do not store any personal data for marketing purposes and do not give out any personally identifiable information to a third party without just cause. The storing of personal data that we do is only to comply with current regulations and to be able to provide the service that you have ordered, for example direct settlement with insurance company or referrals.

Our IT-systems are protected from unlawful or unauthorized handling and only the persons that need to use the information can access it.
