About the clinic:
Mälaren Hästklinik Sigtuna is located in a scenic area between Sigtuna and Uppsala, with good connections from the E4 and national road 55. We currently treat approximately 9,000 horses a year at the Sigtuna hospital (and a further 6,000 horses at our other clinics). This makes us Sweden’s most visited equine hospital.
Every day, our experienced veterinarians work across outpatient clinics, surgery, inpatient care and diagnostic imaging. We also perform more advanced investigations in medicine and orthopaedics, and we treat problems in the cervical spine, back and sacroiliac (SI) joints. We work with conventional orthopaedic and regenerative treatments.
- Newly built (2020) equine hospital with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment
- Surgical department for both planned and emergency surgeries
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
- Computed tomography (on site soon)
- Outpatient clinic with connected indoor arena
- Lunging rings with various surfaces
- Stables for in-patient care, with intensive care unit
- Isolation stables
We are constantly working to adapt and expand our operations and to further develop the skills of our staff in order to offer the best possible care for your horse.
A warm welcome to our clinic in Sigtuna!
