Welcome to our new state-of-the-art Mälaren Equine Veterinary Clinic in Sjöbacka. In our pleasant and comfortable premises you will meet veterinarians and assistants from our previous clinic on Hölö.

Monday: 08.00-20.00  
Tuesday to Thursday: 08.00-18.00  
Friday: 08.00-16.30  

Please note: Appointment booking is only available during regular reception opening hours. The on-call staff cannot assist with appointment bookings. 

Patients are mainly cared for here during the day. Horses that require 24/7 care, certain specific medical examinations or surgery beyond what we can offer here are referred to our equine hospital in Sigtuna or, if necessary, another equine hospital.  

About the clinic:  

Mälaren Equine Veterinary Clinic Sjöbacka is located beside the E20 motorway at the top of Nykvarn. We are a modern clinic that offers veterinary treatments including conventional and regenerative medicine.  

We have five outpatient rooms and our own laboratory, and our staff uses the latest X-ray and ultrasound technology to be able to make reliable diagnoses – so your horse can receive the best possible care.   

There are running tracks and paddocks with both fibre sand and hard rubber surfaces. There is also a full-sized riding stable and an outdoor riding arena nearby the clinic. We treat problems in the cervical spine, back and sacroiliac (SI) joints. We work with conventional orthopaedic treatments as well as regenerative ones. We offer tea and coffee free of charge and you can buy food and snacks.   

Every day our fully equipped vehicle drives to larger facilities and riding schools in southern Stockholm. Our knowledgeable veterinarians also staff our Runsten Equestrian clinic in Grödinge two days a week.
